School is out for the holidays! Celebrate the Winter Season at the SEA Lab through a fun, hands-on camp! Join us for one-day or all week. Check out the themes for each day below to help you select what dates to attend. Campers will be divided into two age groups:
Arctic Cubs: For 4-6 year olds from 9am-1pm. Program fee is $50 each day or $200 for the full week.
Arctic Explorers: For 7-11 year olds from 9am-3pm. Program fee is $60 each day or $300 for the full week.
Monday: Arctic Life
Life in the Arctic- Campers will identify similarities and differences between the Arctic and Antarctic, including the common animals found in these unique areas.
Tuesday: Arctic Mammals
Arctic Adaptations- Campers will investigate marine mammal adaptations and will partake in fun educational activities relating to these animals.
Wednesday: Beluga Whales
Beluga Basic Training- Campers will study techniques trainers use to teach behaviors to beluga whales and then model the techniques with one another.
Thursday: Polar Bears
Polar Den Discovery- Campers will learn how scientists search for and study polar bear dens on the North Slope of Alaska.
Friday: Carbon Footprint
Arctic Challenge- Campers take action to reduce their carbon footprint, which will include making their own holiday gift using recycled materials.
