The LA Conservation Corps creates equitable opportunities for young people to build resilience in themselves, their communities and the environment through a program of work, education and support.
LA Conservation Corps empowers young adults with paid job training, education, and support services to help them build a brighter future.
Our Corpsmembers gain hands-on experience in conservation, urban forestry, recycling, and disaster response while making a positive impact in their communities. Whether planting trees, restoring public lands, or responding to natural disasters, they’re transforming their environment—and their own lives.

When Gissel joined the Corps, she was seeking direction and a way to positively impact both herself and her community. Through hands-on work restoring trails, removing invasive plants, and cleaning up her community, she discovered her deep passion for the outdoors and protecting natural spaces. This transformative experience led Gissel to realize that she wants to become a park ranger, and she is eagerly embracing every opportunity at the Corps to make this dream a reality.
